NEW DELHI, 13 October 2026. Stardust Inc. is opening its first office in Asia in Bengaluru, India, expanding its presence in a country where its team has already built an active community of members, ambassadors, schools and universities. The announcement comes from New Delhi, following meetings at the High Commission of Canada in India. India currently has 133 Stardust members and 41 ambassadors, with 14 of the 73 teams in the Stardust Challenge coming from the country. Across its global network, Stardust has 1,129 members in 69 countries and 224 ambassadors across 48 countries. The Bengaluru office will support this growing community and bring Stardust's India operations closer to the people already involved in its work. Plans include establishing the country's first Stardust Chapter, स्टारडस्ट चैप्टर भारत (Stardust Chapter of India), and launching the Stardust India Space Academy, स्टारडस्ट भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अकादमी (Stardust India Space Academy). "Shinul and Shifa have been building this in India," said Jason Michaud, founder of Stardust. "The office in Bengaluru is so we can serve our people from here, not from a desk on the other side of the world." "We have genuinely talented members here. Our wonderful ambassadors are here. We have been working tirelessly with our contacts in India to lay a foundation for space education and research," said Shinul Paul, Chief Operating Officer of Stardust Inc. "Bengaluru is the office that matches the work." "We have been with the ambassadors and the schools, and we met the High Commission in New Delhi," said Shifa Zahra, Director of Space Biology and Strategic Partnerships. "This office is for them. Next is the chapter and the academy, in our language." Stardust operates from Iroquois Falls, Ontario; Seattle; and Ontario Tower in Dubai. Bengaluru will be its first office in Asia, building on work already underway with India's space education community. The Bengaluru office will also serve as a base for expanding engagement with Indian schools, universities and local coordinators.
