What we expect
- Be kind. Disagree with the idea, not the person.
- Be honest. Your own work, your own words. Credit your sources.
- Be patient. Someone asking a beginner's question is exactly who this is
for.
What gets you removed
- Bullying, harassment or pile-ons.
- Racism, sexism, homophobia, or contempt for anyone's religion or origin.
- Sexual content, or any sexual approach to a minor. This means immediate
removal and, where required, a report to the authorities.
- Asking a young person for personal contact details or to move the conversation
somewhere private and unmonitored.
- Threats, doxxing, or sharing someone's private information.
- Spam, scams, or pretending to be someone you're not.
- Content that encourages self-harm, disordered eating or suicide.
If someone breaks these rules
Report it. There's a report control on posts, comments, messages and profiles,
and it goes to a real person. If you're worried about someone's safety, use the
Help Signal — it puts crisis resources in front of them first.
